I know it’s been far too long since I’ve written a post. After working at the public defender’s office this summer I can safely say the experience was great and I highly recommend others step outside of their comfort zones. I never considered doing anything within the realm of criminal law but took a leap. I found it very rewarding and while it’s not for everyone it certainly offers a very different perspective on the law.
As for 2L, it’s true. 1L they scare you to death, 2L they work you to death, and 3L (I assume) they bore you to death. The 2L part is certainly ramping up to be lots of work. I’m now three weeks in and I’m already feeling the exhaustion of the grind. Any other 2Ls feeling similar? I’ll try to post a more insightful update later this week (after several assignments are done) but I wanted to give a quick and generalized update and let everyone know I haven’t forgotten about the blog.
